Socks in the Frying Pan played the New Orleans Jazz Festival

When it comes to touring America, these guys are now seasoned veterans. Fresh from their Spring 2018  tour, we spoke to Fiachra from the band who described the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans as ‘a life changing gig’. They shared the stage with some epic super star names such as Aerosmith, Rod Stewart and Lionel Richie. Socks played the Friday & Saturday in Lafayette, Louisiana and then headed East for two separate gigs on the Sunday evening at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. “There were thousands of people there and it was so great to feel the support from the crowd. Loads of Irish flags waving back at us. We were made up. It was a really important festival for us to play at as there were a number of people there from other World Music Festivals, Blue Grass & Jazz promotors etc. It was great exposure for us.”
